Third Hellenic Republic — Late Series (1990–1998)

By Denomination Cronologically

The final series of the Greek drachma prior to the Euro transition. Due to inflation, smaller lepta and low drachma coins were discontinued, while high-value denominations like 50 and 100 Drachmai were introduced in heavy aluminum-bronze alloys, featuring prominent designs of Alexander the Great and ancient philosophers.
